If feeding your baby feels stressful, slow, or confusing, you’re not alone. As a pediatric OT and lactation specialist serving families in Yardley, Newtown, and Hopewell, I support babies with feeding issues every day. Here are five signs that might mean your baby needs feeding support beyond the advice your pediatrician can give you.

1. Feeds last longer than 30 minutes

2. Your baby pops off the breast or bottle repeatedly

3. You hear clicking, gulping, wheezing, or high pitched squeaking sounds

4. Your baby arches or stiffens during feeds

5. You’re worried about weight gain despite frequent feeds

6. Baby is "colicky"

7. Baby is frustrating and crying during feeds

8. You're feeling overwhelmed and feeding your baby isn't a positive and bonding experience

If these signs feel familiar, I offer in-home infant feeding therapy in Yardley, Newtown, and surrounding Bucks County. I also offer in-home feeding therapy in Hopewell, Pennington, and surrounding Mercer County. You can learn more at my main website www.beehivepostnatal.com
